The greatest bottles we ever found
As I told everyone in my last post, I had no idea what products were good and which ones weren’t when my first son was born. I read a lot of reviews online, and people were pretty divided on EVERYTHING. I recognized that and decided that I would buy a lot of different bottles and figure out which ones worked the best for us.
Over time, and another kid, and there is only one brand that has held up. The bottles are high quality, easy to clean, and both kids loved them. They’re called NURSH and are part of the Boon family of products (owned by Tomy). They worked with breastmilk, formula, and toddler drink, and the stages of nipples allowed us to keep using the bottles as they grew. They cleaned and sanitized easily, never broke down, and have been in almost constant use for more than 2 and a half years.
Grows with your little ones Different colors and different flow nipples make it easy to keep organized. They come in two sizes, a 4oz and an 8oz, and the nipples and tops can be interchanged. This way when my little dudes started needing more and more to drink it was easy to switch out.
Easy to use Putting a bottle together takes just a second, and is as easy as dropping the liner in and pulling the nipple up into the lid. I’ve never had one of these leak, and my dudes are champions at spilling everything. The kids have thrown them down stairs, smashed them into highchair trays… nothing has come out.
The liners have lines on their side that are easy to see from outside the bottle. Each line is an ounce, so you can quickly gauge how much your little one has imbibed. Also, if you’re mixing toddler drink or formula, these lines are pretty accurate and make mixing up a drink a cinch!
The silicone liner compresses as the kids drink. This means no need for a relief valve, which has always been the prime culprit in leaks for us. It also means there is no need for the kiddos to take a pause and let the valve do its work, they can keep drinking at their own pace.
Easy to clean My favorite thing about them is just how EASY it is to clean. The nipple removes completely from the top, and the silicone liner comes out easily. The nipples and liners have never discolored or broken down from dozens and dozens of steam sanitizations and hundreds of dishwasher runs, and all of the pieces look brand new a couple years later.
